Everything You Should Ask Before Hiring An Agency
Including the questions most agencies would rather you didn't ask. If yours isn't here, just call us.
Getting started
Start with a free marketing audit, or go straight to the application form if you already know which plan you want. We review every application personally within 24 business hours. If we approve it, you'll get an onboarding email with a secure Stripe payment link — you're never asked to pay before we've agreed we can help.
A real person reads it — usually Allam. We check whether your market, budget and goals line up with what we can realistically deliver. Within 24 business hours you'll hear back either with an approval and a secure Stripe payment link, or with an honest explanation of why we're not the right fit and what we'd suggest instead.
Yes, and there's no obligation attached. We review your ad accounts, Google Business Profile, website speed and tracking setup, then send you the findings. Plenty of people take the audit, fix things themselves and never become clients. That's fine.
Access to your ad accounts and Google Business Profile (as a partner or manager, never as owner), your logo and brand assets, any photos you have, and half an hour for a strategy call. If tracking isn't installed on your site, we'll need access to add it or a developer contact who can.
Pricing & billing
Management plans run from $297/mo for a single platform up to $1,997/mo for full-funnel work, with custom pricing above $25,000/mo in ad spend. Ad spend itself is separate and paid directly to Meta or Google — we never mark it up. Full details are on our pricing page.
No. This trips people up, so to be completely clear: your management fee pays us for strategy, campaign builds, creative and optimisation. Your ad spend is billed directly to you by Meta and Google on your own card, on your own accounts. We never mark it up or take a percentage of it.
Only after your application is approved. You'll receive a secure Stripe payment link by email, and your first payment starts the engagement. Subscriptions bill monthly in advance from that date.
If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days of your first month, tell us and we'll refund that month's management fee in full. Ad spend already paid to Meta or Google can't be refunded — that money has left for the platforms and is outside our control.
Yes, in either direction. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge. Downgrades take effect at your next billing date. Just email us — there's no penalty for moving down a tier.
How we work
Our core work is Meta Ads and Google Ads management for local businesses. Around that we offer local SEO, Google Business Profile management, social media management, email marketing, review management, and landing pages built to convert. Most clients start with one or both ad platforms and add services as they grow.
Campaigns typically go live within 5–7 business days of getting account access, and first leads often arrive in the first week or two. But the first 2–3 weeks are a learning phase while the platforms gather data. Judge paid ads at 90 days. Local SEO takes three to six months — anyone promising faster isn't being straight with you.
A named person you can reach, not a rotating pool. On Elite plans you get a dedicated account manager and a shared Slack channel. On every other plan, you deal directly with the team member who built your campaigns.
Reporting frequency depends on your plan: monthly on Starter, bi-weekly on Growth, weekly on Pro and above. Beyond scheduled reports, we contact you whenever something needs your attention — a budget issue, a disapproved ad, a spike worth acting on.
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. Ad platforms, competitors and seasonality are outside our control. What we guarantee is the work itself: proper setup, honest tracking, weekly optimisation and clear reporting. If we don't think we can get you a return, we'll decline the work rather than take your money.
Accounts & ownership
Always. We work inside your accounts through partner or manager access. You own the account, the billing, the historical data, the audiences and the conversion tracking. If you leave, you keep all of it and simply revoke our access.
They stay in your account exactly as they are. We'll pause them at your instruction or hand them over running, and we'll provide a handover document covering structure, audiences and current performance so the next person isn't starting blind.
Our focus is the US and Canada, and that's where our knowledge of local platforms, compliance rules and market behaviour is strongest. We occasionally take work elsewhere but we'll be upfront if we don't think we're the best-placed agency for your market.
Contracts & cancellation
No. Every plan is month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice. We also back your first month with a 14-day money-back guarantee on the management fee. We'd rather earn the next month than trap you in the current one.
Email contact@twolamarketing.com with your cancellation request. Your 30-day notice period starts from the date we receive it, and you'll be billed for that final period. No phone-call retention gauntlet, no hidden cancellation fee.
No minimum term. That said, we'll tell you honestly that paid advertising rarely shows its true picture in under 90 days. If you're only able to commit for one month, a free audit is likely a better use of your time than a plan.
Industries & fit
We work with local service businesses across the US and Canada — home services, healthcare and dental, legal, beauty and wellness, restaurants, real estate, automotive and more. If you serve customers in a defined geographic area, we can almost certainly help. If we're not a good fit, we'll tell you during the audit.
Often, yes. Healthcare, legal, financial services and housing all face special category rules on Meta and Google. We check restrictions before you commit and design campaigns that comply. If a platform genuinely won't work for your category, we'll say so instead of taking your money and finding out later.
Not necessarily, but the order matters. If you have no website, no tracking and no reviews, spending on ads first is usually a mistake. We'd typically recommend a landing page, Google Business Profile setup and a review process before turning on paid traffic. The audit will tell you where you genuinely stand.
